Youth sports tournament shirts are the highest-keepsake apparel a player owns. Tournaments are travel moments, big-stage moments, and family-photo moments. The tournament tee documents the trip. Below is what to print for tournament participants, hosts, and showcase events, and how to make sure every shirt arrives before the tournament starts.

Tournament Tee Design Template

Print on the Next Level Premium CVC Jersey Tee for blocky designs or the Bella+Canvas Premium Triblend Crew Tee for premium keepsake feel.

Host Tournament vs Participating Tournament

Host tournament: Your league or club is hosting. The host tee lists the tournament name and host venue. Sold to all visiting teams plus the host's own players. High volume opportunity.

Participating tournament: Your team is attending. The participating tee lists the team name plus the tournament. Sold to your team players and families. Smaller volume, higher per-tee margin.

Order Timing for Tournament Weekend

Print times average 7 days from order to delivery. For a tournament 14 days out, open the tournament shop today and close the order window in 5 days. Pieces arrive in 7 to 12 days, before the tournament. For tournaments 4+ weeks out, open the shop as soon as the tournament is confirmed.

Tournament tees print and ship on demand during the order window. Each family pays at checkout and the tee ships to their home.

Multi-Sport Tournament Programs

Some youth athletic organizations run multi-sport tournaments (a single weekend with basketball, soccer, and football all competing). Stock one base tournament design with sport-specific add-ons (a small soccer ball, basketball, or football mark) for each division. Families pick their child's division at checkout.

Pricing and Margin

Tournament tee margin runs higher than standard practice tee margin because tournament tees are keepsakes families happily pay premium for. Set retail at $36 to $42 on the VIP $23.88 Bella+Canvas Triblend for $12 to $18 margin per tee. A host tournament selling 200 tees nets $2,400 to $3,600 in margin in a single weekend.

Print Tournament Tees Before the Weekend

Open a free league shop. Add a tournament tee 14 days before the event. Families order direct; tees arrive before the tournament.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we sell tournament tees only at the tournament itself?

You can run an online drop that closes 3 days before the tournament so all pre-orders ship in time. On-site sales at the tournament venue would require physical inventory, which we do not support.

What if families miss the order window?

They can order after the tournament. The shirt still ships in about a week but arrives after the event. Some families do this to claim a tournament-dated keepsake even when they could not order earlier.

Do tournament tees include player numbers?

Optional. Set up the product with a number customization field. Families add the number at checkout. Most host tournaments skip player numbers because the tee is for the whole tournament audience.

Can a visiting team print their own version of the tournament tee?

Yes. The host's shop carries the official tournament tee; visiting teams can run their own team-specific tournament tee through their own team shop. Both can coexist.
